KPC HUNTERS LOUNGE โข POTA โข WWFF โข SOTA
Live spots with the parks you've already worked tucked out of the way. Load your log once, and every park that's new to you lights up and rolls across the screen.
Tap a country to hide its spots (tap again to bring them back). Only countries on the air right now are listed.
Tap the โ on any spot, or type a call here. When a favorite comes on the air they're pinned to the top until you've worked them today (log them, or tap โ GOT THEM).
Type the park numbers you're chasing: POTA (US-1234, or just 1234), WWFF/KFF (KFF-0001) or SOTA (W4K/EC-001). When one comes on the air, on any band or mode, it's pinned to the top with a sound and flames, even if your filters would hide it and even with ๐ ALERT off. Worked it? Tap โ GOT IT and it comes off the list. You can also tap ๐ฏ on any spot.
They show how close this contact gets you to a POTA hunter award. They come from your own POTA numbers, so tap โญ GET MY PARKS first (and again now and then to keep them fresh).
Repeat Offender. You've worked this park 14 times; the award comes every 20 contacts with the same park. Working it now makes 15.
Operator to Operator. You've worked this activator 37 times (at any park); the award comes every 50 contacts with the same person.
N1CC. You've worked this park on 4 bands and this spot is on a band you don't have there yet. The award is one park on 10 bands.
Glowing gold = almost there. Within 5 of the next Repeat Offender level, within 10 of the next Op to Op level, or any new N1CC band.
On the table view the numbers show without the words. POTA decides the awards; these are just a heads-up.
YOUR CONTACTS
Tap any spot card (or ๐ LOG IT) and the contact fills itself in: call, frequency, band, mode, park and the time in UTC. Fix anything, tap SAVE. Every save is kept on this device right away, twice over (and in a backup file on computers that allow it), and the park is marked worked.
Putting it in QRZ: tap DOWNLOAD FOR QRZ, then open your QRZ Logbook and use its ADIF import to add the file. The same file works in LoTW (through TQSL) and most logging programs. Hunters don't upload to POTA: your credit comes from the activator's log. โข = not downloaded yet.
STATE BY STATE
STEP 1
pota.app has no hunted-parks download, so a little bookmark asks POTA for your list (and how many times you've worked each park and operator) while you're signed in there, then brings just those numbers back here. Your POTA sign-in never leaves pota.app. Set it up once per phone or computer.
Or load a file:
Far-away new parks are harder to work, so they can go to the small ticker at the very top instead of the big one. Set where you are and how far you usually hear.
