📻 Radio Control & QRZ

Turn these on once and the Hunters Lounge does the rest: click a spot and your radio jumps to that frequency and mode while the log fills in, and every contact you log can go straight to your QRZ logbook.

Tune my radio when I click a spot in the Hunters Lounge

MY RADIO

When I turn my radio's dial, update the log's frequency and mode too

SETTINGS FOR MY RADIO (filled in when you pick one)

TALKS LIKE SPEED (BAUD) CI-V ADDRESS (ICOM) DIGITAL SPOTS (FT8…)

The speed must match your radio's menu (Icom: CI-V Baud Rate · Yaesu: CAT RATE · Kenwood: COM speed). Icom: the CI-V address must match the radio's CI-V Address menu.

Plug the radio into the computer with its USB cable. Some radios need a driver first (Icom IC-7300 / 705 and many Yaesus: the Silicon Labs CP210x driver from the radio maker's site).
Close other radio programs (WSJT-X, flrig, Ham Radio Deluxe, the radio's own app). Only one program can use the radio's port at a time.
Press CONNECT MY RADIO and pick the radio's port in the box Chrome shows. Yaesu radios show two ports: pick the Enhanced (or first) one.
Press TEST: READ MY DIAL. If it shows your frequency, you're set: go to the Hunters Lounge and click a spot.

⚠ Clicking a spot only changes your radio's frequency and mode. It never transmits. Check the frequency is inside your license privileges before you call.

2 · Send contacts to QRZ as I log them

Send each contact to my QRZ logbook when I press Enter in the Hunters Lounge

MY QRZ LOGBOOK API KEY

No key saved.

Where's my key? On qrz.com: Logbook → Settings (the gear) → API Access Key. Sending to the logbook this way needs a QRZ XML Logbook Data subscription (QRZ's rule).
Your key is saved only in this browser on this device. It goes to qrz.com and nowhere else (once the club relay is on, it passes through the club's Google script on the way, which never saves it).
QRZ doesn't let a web page read its answer back, so the Lounge can't always tell you QRZ took it. Log one contact, then look in your QRZ logbook to be sure. Your Lounge log keeps every contact either way, and DOWNLOAD FOR QRZ still works.
