Tap a dot for its card: add it to your trip, Street View, parking, its outline and more. Trails that are POTA parks: pink = national scenic, orange dashes = national historic, green = state trails, purple dashes = national recreation trails (tap one). 🥾 We're still adding trails: about half of the trail parks outside Kentucky have a line so far, and more are on the way. Zoom in to see official boundaries (gold = federal, light blue = state, orange = Army Corps) and tap the land to see what it is; the layers button switches maps.

    Where this comes from

This planner covers the whole US. Park types, official websites and how you can activate come from POTA’s park list, refreshed every week; campgrounds and picnic shelters come from Recreation.gov (federal land only, so check state parks on their own site); SOTA summits come from SOTA and WWFF references from the WWFF directory. Boundaries on the map are the official USGS PAD-US outlines; when a park has none, its outline is from OpenStreetMap and is marked NOT OFFICIAL. For Kentucky, the full KPC Trip Planner adds hand-checked access points, 2-fers and more. Place search by OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Routes open in Google Maps.
KPC tools and guides are planning aids, not official sources. We make mistakes. Do your own research and check official maps. KPC is an independent ham radio club, not part of Parks on the Air®, SOTA or WWFF.
