πŸ”€ Ham Words Match

Hams have their own short words. Flip two cards to match each word with what it means. Pink cards are the ham words!

πŸ—ΊοΈ Map Hunt

A station gives you a report and says where they are. Can you find that state on the map? The red dot is Kentucky. Every 5 states you find earns a star.

Press NEW STATION to start.
Tiny states:

πŸ”§ Build a Radio Station

Every ham station needs a few parts. Tap a part, then tap where it goes. Watch out for silly things that don't belong!

🦊 Fox Hunt

Hams hide a little beeping transmitter called the fox, then hunt for it with radios. Walk around the park and listen: the beeps get louder and faster when you're close!

πŸ“Ά SIGNAL

You can also tap the light-green squares next to you to walk, or use the arrow keys on a computer.

β›ˆοΈ Weather Spotter Net

When storms come, hams called SKYWARN spotters tell the weather service what they see. Pretend you're on the weather net. What's the right thing to do?

Remember: in a real emergency, get safe first and a grown-up calls 911.

Everything here is pretend. Call signs are made up with 4 letters after the number, which are never given to real hams. Stars are saved only on this device and count toward your Kids Room badges and certificate.
